1.    Do you expect women and girls in Bangladesh to go online to report incidents against them?
No. If they can, well and good. If they can’t and expecting that they cannot, we would like you to do this on their behalf. However women from anywhere in Bangladesh with the possession of a mobile phone can atleast SMS us the incident for the whole world to know and to act on it. So she will not have to go to an internet cafe, type in English/Bangla and let us know what has happened.

2.    How can you verify all the reports that are coming in via web, SMS, tweets and emails?
We can publish reports clearly marked as ‘verified’ or ‘unverified’. Verified reports usually will have a link to external online news websites or established sources. Unverified reports will be marked as such and can only be ‘verified’ if two or more sources confirm it over a short period of time.

3.    I want to report an incident, can I remain anonymous?
Yes you can remain anonymous, as long as you clearly mention the location, date, time, event. We can also make sure to keep your mobile numbers hidden through our system options.

4.    What do you get out of this?
We feel good about it and about ourselves. Rather than talking a lot and drafting plans which never see sunlight, we thought to contribute to nation building with whatever we are good at – right now! As we can always talk more later.

5.    Who is funding you?
No one yet. But if you want to, let us know, we will possibly not say ‘no’ to free money and free food.

6. Do you think by merely sending reports to this site and making a mountain out of it will stop incidents against women in Bangladesh?

Very unlikely, actually the question is too ambitious in itself. No incidents against women can be prevented only by sending SMS and web based reports to Bijoya. We will still have to work on administration, our legal and security systems and more importantly our approach and attitude towards women. Bijoya aims to increase awareness so that everything comes to day light so that culprits don’t go unnoticed by the world. But if the system and society continue creating incidents against women – Bijoya can only create more reports and nothing else.

আমার কিছু প্রশ্ন ছিল 

১. আপনারা মনে করছেন যে মহিলারা দল বেঁধে ইন্টারনেট এ যাবে এখানে রিপোর্ট করতে?

জ্বী না. আমাদের মনে হয় না বাংলাদেশী মহিলাদের ওই অবস্থা থাকবে সবসময় যে ছুটে গিয়ে ইন্টারনেট কাফেতে গিয়ে রিপোর্ট করবেন. এজন্য আপনি উনাদের হয়ে এই কাজটা করতে পারেন যদি সময় পান আর সদিচ্ছা থাকে. আর যাদের হাতে মোবাইল ফোনে থাকবে তারা সহজে এস এম এস এর মাধ্যমে জানাতেই পারেন কি ঘটছে উনাদের সাথে. মহিলাদের ইন্টারনেট এ যাওয়া নিয়ে বেশি দুশ্চিন্তা করার দরকার নেই. গেলে ভালো না গেলে এস এম এস আছে. তাও না থাকলে আপনি আছেন কি করতে ? 

২. আপনারা সব রিপোর্ট কিভাবে যাচাই করবেন?

যদি রিপোর্ট অন্য কোনো দৈনিক পত্রিকা থেকে নেয়া হয়ে থাকে তাহলে পরিষ্কার ভাবে তা উল্লেখ করা থাকবে যে এটা 'পরীক্ষিত'. অন্যথায় এটা উল্লেখ করা থাকবে যে রিপোর্ট এখনো নিশ্চিত ভাবে প্রমানিত নয়. একই বিষয়ে যদি একাধিক রিপোর্ট আসে তাহলে তো বোঝাই যাবে যে যাহা রটে কিছুতো বটে. 

৩. আমি একটি রিপোর্ট জানাতে চাই, কিন্তু আমি কি বেনামীতে তা করতে পারি?

পারবেন. এস এম এস এ পাওয়া মোবাইল নাম্বারও গোপন রাখা হবে.

৪. সবই বুঝলাম, কিন্তু আপনাদের লাভ টা কি? কেন এসব করছেন?

আমাদের আসলে ভাই ভাল্লাগতেসে তাই করলাম. আসলে, আমরা বেশি কথা না বাড়িয়ে আর সময় নষ্ট না করে যে যেটাতে ভালো তাই নিয়ে কিছু করতে চাচ্ছিলাম দেশের জন্য. তাই আগে করে ফেললাম, পরে কথা বলব.

৫. আপনাদের আসলে টাকা পয়সা কে দিচ্ছে?

এখনো আব্বা আম্মা ভাই বোন বউ. আপনি দান করতে উদগ্রীব হলে জানাবেন. আমরা সাধারণত ফ্রী খাওয়া দাওয়া এবং পয়সাপাতি কে 'না' বলিনা.

৬. আপনারা আশা করছেন যে বিজয়া তে রিপোর্ট পাঠালেই বাংলাদেশে নারী নির্যাতন বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে?

না, আমাদের মনে হয় সেটা আশা করাটা বোকামি হবে. কেবলমাত্র বিজয়া তে রিপোর্ট পাঠিয়েই যদি সকল অপরাধ আর বিড়ম্বনা বন্ধ হত তাহলে তো হতই. প্রশাসন, পুলিশ, আইন ব্যবস্থা, সর্বোপরি আমাদের মানসিকতার পরিবর্তন না হলে এসব ম্যাপ ট্যাপে কোনো কাজ হবে না. বিজয়ার মূল উদ্দেশ্য যেন এই ঘটনাগুলো ধামাচাপা না পড়ে যায়, যেন সব অপরাধের হোতাদের পরিচয় আমাদের সামনে উম্মোচিত হয়. সব ঘটনা পত্র পত্রিকায় ছাপা হয় না, তার মানে এই না যে এসব ঘটনা মুখ বুজে সহ্য করে যেতে হবে. সুতরাং আশা রাখুন যেন বাংলাদেশে নারী নির্যাতন বন্ধ হয়, কিন্তু বিজয়া ম্যাপই  সব সমস্যার সমাধান করে ফেলবে আশা করে আমাদের লজ্জা দিবেন না.
